Independent development in my perspective is a continuous effort of making a developer less and less depend on the in-consistence trends in the software development world.
Majority people depend software industries to build their career and the relationship between the industry and the developer grows like a bondage to the developer. Industries gradually make you believe that you cannot survive in this field without depending on them.
For a creative developer it is a blockage. It trims down his freedom finally his creativity. In the end, it is a personal loss and at the same time it is a public loss as well.
This problem has been identified by many developers and some people found the solution to it. I am one of them.
My approach towards independent development mainly driven from my own experiences. It involves your skills, health, family and the mind.
I have been in this software development from 2010. I am an Android app developer, i write blogs. I have worked in more than 6 companies in the past 10 years. I have worked with small-medium-large companies and clients from different geographical locations. I have been part of public and enterprise application development. I have worked in different roles from developer to tester.
The major turning point happened in my life when I am convinced that I can continue in this field without depending on these industries. How i could achieve this by doing freelance work. To be more clear freelancing of my own work to myself. Here I am the owner, programmer and the tester. This is the core team.
